Kai got this Star Wars Volcano. It's really neat & he thinks it's the greatest thing ever!

Kali had a Book Character Parade at her school on Friday. She dressed as Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly. It was so cute seeing all those kids dressed up in the morning.

and I am 20 weeks pregnant! Half way there. It's going way too fast. This is going to be our last baby and I am trying to enjoy every minute of being pregnant. Luckily it's been easy & I have not been sick even once. Love this little gal already :) Kai asks everyday if this is the day she is coming. Kali is really excited and even picked out all the books she is going to read to the baby.

Backyard camping

Today Kali had Jazz dance after school and when we got home the boys had set up a campsite out back. Seeing my cute little family play camping was sooo cute. I made some hot chocolate with real whipped cream & sprinkles to warm us up--yum! (even though Mr. Becker is shirtless I swear it was chilly)

Then when the sun set it was time for a fire, sparklers & fireworks. You know, just a normal Wednesday night. We ate dinner & layed in the tent. It was so nice to be outside and just enjoying each other. Usually we eat dinner & watch t.v. This was soooo much nicer & we really got to spend quality time together. Noodle even put on his sweater and joined us :)

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show

Kali's art got picked to be in the art show at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. She was so excited to go, see horses & art & wear her special t-shirt they gave her to wear. It was a little plain so we had to bedazzle it :) It was nice day and we were so proud of our girl.

Things Kai says...

Kai says the funniest stuff & I am afraid that if I don't start writing it down I will forget.

-the other day he was walking behind Francis while he was bending down & Francis bumped him.
Kai said, "you almost knocked me over with your big butt"

- He was watching Peter Pan and I asked him what his happy thought would be, after a long pause he said "BACON!"

-When we were getting in the car today he said, "this little baby will take us wherever we want to go"

-When I was laying out in the sun yesterday he looked at my legs and said, "those are some big legs you got there"--gee thanks Kai ;)

-or if anyone gets in his way (male or female, young or old) he says "move it you old dumpy lady"

-the other day we were watering the garden and the patio got wet so ran inside & changed into his pirate costume, got the broom & said, "I need to swab the deck"

Oh and he is a total flasher. Luckily only to me, Francis & Kali....and we're hoping it's just a phase. He will be talking away and then say, "hey did you see this" or "look at this" and out pops his boys bits. Crazy kid! He thinks it's soooo funny.

Sewing

Since we found out we are having a girl yesterday I had to get sewing. I made the little chiquita a "lovey" which is just a little blanket with ribbons on it. Kai had one and he LOVED it.

Also, I finally finished Kai's blanket that I started months ago. It has Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, & Wolverine on it....his favorites! Too bad I could not get Jack Sparrow & Obi Wan Kenobe's face on it too. Oh well. He wanted the back to be all black minky fabric. He loves it & will not let anyone else use it :) It is the first blanket I've done all by myself so I am glad that he likes it so much.

This weekend...

Noodle has been sick :( But seriously this dog gets sick a lot. This time we think he hurt his back and ate something he should not have. So we had him drink lots of water (he did not drink or eat for one whole day) we hand fed him and we had him lay in the sun. After about 2 days of this he is back to his normal barking/growling/pooping on the floor self.

Kali had ballet class on Saturday and we were allowed to go in and watch. She was really excited that we were all there & she was dressed super fancy!

And, only two more days until we get find out what the next little Becker will be......

Valentine's Day 2012

This first picture is of our master bathroom....Francis took all the gross tile out and painted the back wall Behr's Latte. The other walls & the ceiling are white. Next we'll be adding beadboard, marble trim, marble tile & new baseboard. It's going to be fabulous & it's my Valentine's Day present! I am not a romantic gal so this is the perfect gift! Francis came home from work and worked in the bathroom until it was dark. Love this guy!

The kids woke up to balloons and a gift (just some toys from the $$$ store but they were happy)

I made heart shaped cinnamon rolls with pink frosting for breakfast.

Then it was time for me to volunteer in Kali's classroom. After that I came home, got stuff ready for her class party and headed back over to the school.

It was a fun, easy party since the kids mostly ate the candy from their Valentine's and read their cards. Kai and Francis were able to come so it was really special for Kali.

Then my gift to Francis was his favorites for dinner. We had chicken lettuce wraps (PF Chang recipe) and a chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake with fresh whipped cream for dessert. The kids had their favorites, chow mein & rice & strawberries. It was a perfect day.

Father-Daughter Dance

Tonight was the Father-Daughter dance. Francis took Kali and her BFF Marli (her Dad was unable to attend) They had a GREAT time. Kali said it was the BEST night ever! They even went out for dessert at Yogurtini.

I am so glad that Kali has such a great example of a man in her life. I hope she finds someone as good as her Daddy one day.

She is one lucky girl to have such a good Dad and friend. Francis said the girls danced the night away :)

Music to my ears

Today was parent/teacher conference at Kali's school.
-she is good at math
-she is improving her reading
-she is really good at Art (her art will even be featured at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show this month) PE & Music.
-she is nice to others
-she is a good listener
In a nutshell: Kali is a perfect angel :)
Hearing that is like music to my ears.

On the topic of music...Kai's new favorite song to sing it "I'm sexy and I know it". Oh my sweet little Kai, what ever are we going to do with you. I took him to run errands today and he was dressed as Obi Wan Kenobe and carrying a light saber. Kai always keeps us laughing.

Oh and these pictures have nothing to do with this post but we made these glowing jars from broken glow sticks (from the dollar bin at Target) and glitter dumped into a mason jar and shaken up. It was a fun idea from Pinterest :)

No new updates on our bedroom....Fran had to work today.

Master bedroom update

Francis finished laying the marble and painted the room and french doors white this weekend.

Our litlte pirate came to check on his work.

Yesterday Francis grouted the floor and it looks great! The rooms looks so much bigger & I am so glad to be rid of that gross carpet.
