AZDA Recital 2014

Kali had recital this week. Here we are arriving and I'm carrying all of her stuff (of course) and this other pic cracks me up. I am putting lipstick on her and that right there is the extent of my "dance Mom-ness" I just don't have it in me to sit around backstage and and deal with all of that nonsense. But I sure do love seeing this little gal dance.

 Here is some of the backstage craziness. Kali always brings fun things for the girls in her class to do so they keep busy & have fun.

 Kali is such a good dancer and we're very proud of her.

 Kai stayed with Granddad (they are both VERY anti-ballet) and went to a movie & yogurtini.

This will be our last time with AZDA. Kali and I made these frames for the girls in her Hip Hop class.
 Time to go back to the Dance Shoppe! Yay!

Busy little Kali

Here is Kali all ready for school. Kali LOVES fashion and being dressed up. But she hates uncomfortable shoes & almost always wears these sandals.

Kali went to the mall last Friday with Yaya and a woman from some modeling company approached them and wanted Kali to tryout for some modeling school. So, Kali begged me to take her. It was at Desert Ridge JW Marriot. Here she is all excited to go in:

And, then Kali got to walk the runway & she ROCKED it! Long story short the whole modeling thing is not for her & we don't have an extra $2,000 laying around. But she had fun on stage.

Last night was the Father-Daugther dance at Kali's school. It is one of Kali's favorite things! Here she is all fancy again, with her comfy sandals :)

And, with the best date any girl could ask for.

Today Kali had a dance performance at Desert Ridge Marketplace. It was SOOO nice outside!

We had to get there early so we took some pics.

Kali's hip hop class was the last class to go so she had fun waiting with her friends. Her 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Dohogne came to watch (SO nice!). My Mom & Dad brought Koko since I am the "class parent" for Kali's class and had to be there early with Kali.

Kali was really excited!

Kali was a gingersnap this year in the Nutcracker. Here are some pictures from her VERY busy weekends of dress rehearsals & performances. She seriously has some of the sweetst girls in her class. Kali loves being backstage and playing with her friends. Look how cute their little costumes are. Those hats sure were frustrating to keep up. They did a great job!

Kali's ballet class had a Nutcracker party at our home today. The girls made bracelets, ate yummy food & asked each other questions.
