Recital Week

It's recital week at the Dance Shoppe. Look at Koko trying to be like Kali. So sweet. Kali had her rehearsal for ballet last night. The song is "Once Upon a Dream" from Snow White. She loves this costume.

AZDA Recital 2014

Kali had recital this week. Here we are arriving and I'm carrying all of her stuff (of course) and this other pic cracks me up. I am putting lipstick on her and that right there is the extent of my "dance Mom-ness" I just don't have it in me to sit around backstage and and deal with all of that nonsense. But I sure do love seeing this little gal dance.
She dance in the Paquita ballet & Schoolin' life for Hip Hop.

Here is some of the backstage craziness. Kali always brings fun things for the girls in her class to do so they keep busy & have fun.

Here she is getting her pictures done.
and here we are after the recital. My Mom & Grandma Kathi came too.
Kali is such a good dancer and we're very proud of her.
Kai stayed with Granddad (they are both VERY anti-ballet) and went to a movie & yogurtini.
This will be our last time with AZDA. Kali and I made these frames for the girls in her Hip Hop class.
Time to go back to the Dance Shoppe! Yay!

Recital Time

This week was recital week. Here is Kali's costume bag ready to go

 Look at that pose!

Then on recital day Kali woke up sick :( Poor girl did NOT feel good at all.
Here are Kora and I waiting for Kali to go onstage.
 Grandma Kathi & Kai waiting
Her ballet dances were in the beginning and the hip hop dance not long after so we left early since she was still feeling sick.
Here she is with her friend Hannah.
Now she is in bed. I am proud of her for doing her best while she is feeling so crummy.
At least she did not have a broken arm like last year :)

Heroes vs. Villains

Kali's recital was called Heroes vs. Villains and each dance was SO cute! My mom, Ashly, Fran's mom, Fran, Kai and I all went to watch her. Uncle Cody was on duty (he is a police officer) and Uncle Bret & my Dad are in Europe. Francis left after Kali was done dancing to go to his soccer game and he scored a goal & his team won! We missed the game but we're proud of Daddy.
Happy Father's Day to this guy:
