Ballet is hideous

This is Kora right before we left for ballet last week. She was SO excited to go and dance & see Miss Suzy

 Then when we got there she did not want to go in. So I went with her, she gave Miss Suzy a hug and told me she wanted to leave and never take ballet again. She said she wants to play soccer. (she's been asking this for about a month now)

So, we left 2 minutes into ballet & went to get her some cleats & shin guards. Tonight she starts soccer with Kai's club doing Kinder Kicks and Daddy signed on to be one of the coaches (because really Francis does not have enough to do, ha!) She is SO excited! Francis was soooo happy when I sent him this picture and told him and she quit ballet. She told us at dinner, "ballet is hideous". ha!

Kora

Kora really likes to paint on the art easel she got from Grandma Kathi. She's a little scary with the paint but is always so happy when we hang her painting up on the refrigerator. 

 She has ballet once a week with Miss Suzy and just loves to go. She likes to get ready a few hours early and practices tendu, plies and turns at home. 

There is not picture for this story but I have to always remember this because it's too funny. I found a dead lizard outback a few weeks ago and I showed Kora and she wanted to keep it in a cup. She played with it for a whole day and did not want to get rid of it but it was getting all dried up. I thought it was a weird but mostly funny. Well, last week we had a cat ripped apart in our front yard. We think a coyote, hawk or coati (seriously such a weird animal in our neighborhood) did it but we're not sure. The tail and leg were the only things left on one part of the yard and the entrails in another---yikes! Kora talks about her "tail/leg" now and it's so funny/weird. She said she wants Daddy to get it back from her (it's in the trash) and wash it off so she can sing it "twinkle, twinkle little star" and hold the tail/leg like a baby. Oh, Koko :) Oh and she does NOT like to be called Koko anymore. She tells everyone she is, "Kora Becker". 

Staying busy

The kids have been keeping me busy lately. Kora went to her first movie at the Theater when I took her to see Curious George Movie & she really had fun. I was proud of her for sitting and being so quiet for so long. She only got up once to use the bathroom.

Kai has been busy this week at Speed & Agility camp at ASC (the indoor soccer place) 

The kids also went to their yearly appointments at Dr. Padrez's office. Kai was acting crazy wearing his paper gown. He weighs 54 pds (33%) he's 4 feet 3 inches tall (58%) He's one healthy boy.

Kali was not as happy in her paper gown & did not want a pic taken. She weighs 66lbs (27%) and is 4feet 9 inches tall (84%) The doctor told us that she needs to gain 3 pounds. So we're working on getting this girl to eat more, it's NOT easy. 

Kora on the other hand has the appetite of her Daddy. She is NOT picky and eats everything. She weighs 33 lbs (77%) and is 3 feet 2 inches tall (76%) She's one healthy girl.

 Kali went to So You Think You Can Dance Camp this week and had a fun time do all kinds of dance.

 Kora was in Mommy and Me ballet last week & told me she wanted me to wait outside SOOOO this week she was moved up to 3-5 year old ballet ALL BY HERSELF. My little baby is a big girl now. I was so proud of her. She had fun dancing around to Disney music with these cute girls. Miss Suzy taught Kali too so we know she is great.

 Yaya took us to lunch at Flamingo Palace--yum!

 Kora also went to her story time at the library and Kali was able to come with while Kai was at speed camp across the street.

 Kai had a great time this week at his speed camp & is faster.

One more week and then it's back to school. 

Koko bean

 Kora LOVES going to her story time and ballet classes during the week. She is so outgoing and fun lately. Koko is such a happy little girl and just so much fun to have around.

Busy Days

Kali started cheer leading this week. She goes once a week at her school and had a great time!

 She also did a cheer clinic this weekend with Thunderbird High School. She said it was as fun as ballet....and if you know Kali, that is HUGE! She loves ballet. She is back at the Dance Shoppe this year and it's SOOO good to be back!

 Kora is going to baby music class at the community center, toddler time at the library and Mommy & Me ballet once a week. She loves going to classes and ask each morning "baby dance??"

 Kai started a new soccer league this year. It's his first time not having Francis as a coach. It's going okay so far. Oh this boy is SO darn cute!

 Poor kid was roasting the other day at practice. Hopefully it will cool down soon.

 Kai and I went to the Home Depot kid's workshop and he made a birdhouse

 I am working part time again as a substitute teacher. My first job back was a few weeks ago and I've subbed art, P.E. and math so far. It's good to be working again. 

Koko the dancing snow queen

Kora LOVES the movie Frozen so I got her an Elsa dress that she just loves to wear and "make snow"

 She had her first dance class & did NOT want to participate if it meant that I had to leave the room.

 Kora went to the mall with me & my Mom in the cute little pants my Mom made her. She loved going on the carousel

 She has come to watch Kali at dance with me a few times now and loves being there
