Bow & Arrow

 

Kai loves the Avengers & lately his favorite character is Hawkeye.

Hawkeye has a bow & arrow.

Kai found an old bow & arrow that belonged to my little brothers out in one of our sheds. (seriously there is SOOO much random stuff in our two sheds)

The bow was pretty old & very big so Francis got Kai a new, smaller one at Sport's Authority.

We had some cardboard boxes in a shed too and made him a target to shoot.

This bow & arrow has been keeping Kai busy for days. He just loves it and he is really very good at it. See the blow up pool next to it?? Well Kai wanted me to try the bow & I shot a hole in the pool....oops!

 

 Funny thing is Kali came home from dance, tried the bow & shot another hole in the pool.

Needless to say it was a flat pancake & is now in the trash :)

Oh and we only have one more week of this sad, dry grass since it's almost October & time to plant the winter lawn!! Yay!!!! Hooray for FALL!

11 weeks

Our sweet Kora is 11 weeks old!

She smiles and laughs and is as sweet as pie.

She only gets up once a night (sometimes twice but rarely) and is a great eater.

Kora loves the car and falls right asleep.

We are SOOOO in love with our little Koko.

Dining Room

Starting the remodel

 removing baseboard & quater round

 installing beadboard

 filling in a TON of nail holes

 chaging out the beige electrical outlets to white ones....HUGE week long delay due to power outage in 1/2 of the house due to a cinged wire :(

 back to work and adding molding over beadboard

 sanding down nail holes on the beadboard--look at all of that dust!

 Francis starts painting beadboard and I dust the entire house

 new paint....very similar to old paint but a little lighter/creamier version and semi-gloss this time since our kids are sticky :)

 My mom gave me my Grandparent's old radio to put in the corner of the room, I love it! I changed out the knobs and am now deciding on a color to paint it.

 still need to hang our floating shelves and then we're done

Kali

 

Kali is either being totally sweet

 or completely sassy

There is NO in between with her.

She can be so wonderful and helpful

and then a few minutes later she is bossy, whiny or down right crabby.

Shesh!

She's lucky we love her so much :)

Feeling like Fall

The weather has been awesome this past week!

It feels like fall is coming.

We've had lots of rain and it has actually been nice enough in the evenings to be outside.

We've gone on walks to the park to play.

 Kora loves to nap in her stroller.

 Francis and Kai even went on a hike yesterday and saw this big creepy thing--YIKES!

 Oh and last night I pumped a bottle for Kora since I was going to the gym and Kai wanted to feed her. He is such a sweet big brother. Kora is such a lucky girl to have him.

2 months

 

Look who's 2 months old

oh and this little guy is obsessed with his baby sister.

We all knew Kali would be crazy about Kora but Kai always wants to be by "baby Koko" as he calls her. He is such a good big brother....a little rough sometimes but you can tell it's just because he loves her so much that he can barely contain his giant hugs.

 Kali and Kai have been sick this past week so Kora has been big brother & big sister snuggle free for a while. We will all be glad when they feel better.

Now we are off to the Pediatrician for Kora's 2 month well check :)
**At her appt. she got 3 shots :( and screamed her head off...poor girl.
Her weight is 13 lb 2 oz --92%
Length 23 1/2 inches 90%
Head 16 98%
It's official...all three of our kids have HUGE heads :)


8 weeks & Grandpa Russ

Our little Koko has been with us for 8 weeks. Seems like much longer because she fits right in and not much has changed around here besides my lack of sleep.

Last night Kali got up a few times too because she is sick so I spent most of the night taking care of my girls.

Francis is off of work for a few days because his Grandpa Russ passed away.

He was such a good, quiet, strong man and a great example to Fran when he was growing up.

One of Kai's middle names is Russell and I hope he will grow up to be as good a man as his Great Grandpa was. We are so lucky that he lived long enough to meet two of our kids.
