Yoga & Marriage & a dab of Karma

So today started with Francis getting on my last NERVE! Heaven forbid you ask a man to help out around the house. .... GRRRR! He took off for the gym. So....off to Yoga I went. My kids were playing at YaYa's (pretty much one of the best things ever is having family next door) Taking your marital frustration out in downward facing dog and plank is so much more satisfying than yelling at a lazy man. This also led to Francis semi-redeeming himself. He saw me in the Yoga class and afterward he said I looked skinny. And, he had a tank top on and looked really good....so that helped his cause a bit. Now Mr. Becker has a very long TO DO LIST (he said he would rather have a list than to be "nagged"--which is a man's interpretation of being "asked") Anywhooo.... the best part is when he got home from the gym..... (cue sad music) he was pulled over by a cop for an illegal right hand turn and on the way to his sister's house for dinner tonight he got a flat tire......hmmmm Karma for making your wife mad?? Ain't Karma sweet!

An actual date night!

Tonight Francis and I had a much needed night alone and had a yummy dinner at our favorite chinese food place Flamingo Palace. Then we walked over to Party City to get the finishing touch for Kali's costume and then Mr. Becker announced that he needed more Diet Mt. Dew so it was off to Target.

Now let me give you a little background info on what Target means to me.......I go there when Kai needs diapers, I need time alone, or if I just want to buy a bunch of "crap" as Mr. Becker calls it. However tonight things changed. I could not get my husband out of the store and in 45 minutes HE spent more than I have EVER spent there! It was wonderful! Now he truly understands what Target means to me. They have EVERYTHING, and it's almost always on sale! And, we got a few more Christmas gifts for the kids ...I only have one left to buy for Kali and we are done. I like to get Christmas shopping done really early so I am not in a pinch the week before.

Back to our date night....

I am so grateful for having my mom next door so that when we go out we know that they are in the BEST hands and my mom is soooo awesome, she always cleans both of their rooms! And, Fran and I really enjoy our few and far between "dates" we are so lucky to have Kali and Kai but realize more each day how lucky we are to have each other.

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day this year. First Saturday night, Francis ordered Flamingo Palace for me(chinese food) which is my favorite! Then Sunday Kali made me a little card at church and told me, "happy mother's day mommy, I love you very much"--->how cute is that!? My friend Nicole gave me a mother's day card at church. Then when I came home Fran & I had the kids outside playing in their little pools that we filled up for them. That evening I made dinner for my mom & family & Fran's mom (she was sick and could not come) My sister-n-law brought me flowers and a card, and my aunt gave me flowers & some dishes my grandma had when she was still with us.....oh I miss her but I love being able to have some of her things to remember her by. Finally, my sweet Francis wrote me such a sweet letter & gave me a clean the kitchen card & back rub card......I love that man! Oh and did I mention Kai & Kali took a nap so that was a great mother's day gift from my little guy & gal & Kai walked a bunch yesterday. Here are some pic of my wonderful day!

5 years!

Today Fran & I have been married for 5 years---and it has flown by! We have such a great life....we are so lucky to have each other!

'Heaven is right here in the midst of you'

I just read this and I think it's very true of my life right now, I am sooo lucky! I have a GREAT husband who makes me feel safe, takes great care of our kids and home, loves me so much & does everything he can to make me happy & he is a great friend oh and did I mention he is easy on the eyes :) I have the funniest daughter who is so much fun & the cutest/wildest/messiest son. I get to live close to my parents, and my mom and I get to spend a lot of time together just being silly girls. I get to see my brothers and sister-in-law all the time & Kali & Kai love their aunt & uncles. My family are the best friends I could ever ask for. In fact I could go on for days why I am lucky but for now this will do :)
