First half of May 2019

Kora wanted to learn how to rollerskate so we took her and after an hour----she got it!

Fran's over 40 team made it to the Championship game but lost by 1 goal. Fran played great and as always we have so much fun with his team.

Kai went on a field trip to the AZ Science Center and I got to go chaperone.

Mother's Day was really nice this year. I went to church with my Mom and then hung out by the pool with the kids. Fran kept the kids quiet so I could sleep in and we ordered Pei Wei for dinner and watch Game of Thrones so that's a perfect day.

Fran and I had a date night for a friend's birthday and it was so much fun.

Today was Kali's last day of 8th grade!! PVHS here she comes!!
Kora had her Kindergarten celebration of learning today and it was really cute.

Kai just found out that he made Real Salt Lake- AZ 's top team for the upcoming season.

My day started with sleeping in LATE and Francis and Kai going to the store to get flowers and doughnuts. It was a nice surprise. Each of the kids made me the sweetest gifts. It was a nice, relaxing day at home.

Kali and I got up early and surprised my Mom at church and then we came home & I opened all the sweet gifts the kids made for me at school. Then for lunch Francis BBQ'd and we swam at his Mom's house. It was such a fun day!

oh and my Mom got me these beautiful flowers! I LOVE them. They remind me of our wedding in Hawaii.

Mother's Day Tea

Friday after school Kali, my Mom & I took Kali to a Mother's Day Tea Party at Girly Girlz in Scottsdale. If you've never been and you have a little girl you should make the trip. There is just sooo much cute/fancy/sparkly stuff to look at. Kali was really excited to go!
First, there were fancy accessories to choose from.

Then, we sat at these adorable little tables for peach tea or strawberry lemonade.
Then it was on to gummy bears, animal crackers, cookies & cupcakes.

They took a picture of the three of us and Kali decorate frames so Yaya and I could each take one home. We also played a short game.
They ended with a fashion show for the Mom's & Grandma's to watch & they gave us a 10% off coupon which all the girls were very excited about :)
We walked across the street to Scottsdale Quarter and then had dinner at the Olive Garden. It was such a nice evening & the perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day.

My day

Yesterday was such a nice Mother's Day.

I got up early and went to church with my brothers to surprise my Mom.

I came home to this cute teddy bear vase with roses waiting for me. And a bunch of candy the kids wanted to get for "me" but was clearly for them :)

Kali made some cute things at school for me (her teacher is AWESOME) and Kai gave me hugs and kisses all day!

Mr. Becker told me that he was going to take care of everything for "my day". He cleaned the kitchen and seriously washed a TON of dishes, watered the garden, went to Costco with me and unloaded all the groceries (he normally does) AND put them all away and cleaned out the cupboards (usually my job). He was going to make dinner but instead he pulled out all the stupid mint growing by my yellow rose bush. (seriously people NEVER plant mint in your yard...keep it in a pot) I know it sounds simple but him pulling the mint out was AWESOME!

I went to the gym and even had a chance to start a new book last night.

It was a perfect, simple day.

I love my sweet family.

I ended the day by making them dinner because I would not be able to be a Mom if it weren't for them and I love my job!

Mother's Day Weekend

On Saturday I took this little lady to ballet

and after we came home, got our bathing suits on and spent the day out in the sun & clean up our yard & patio. I got sun burnt so it was nap time for me & Mr. Becker took care of the kiddos and grilled chicken for dinner.
Then Sunday I woke up and went with my family to church. While I was gone Kali decorated the house for Mother's Day! How cute is this? (these pics are VERY blurry....I think it has something to do with the energy saver light bulbs we use???)
more of Kali's decor
We had fresh artichokes with lunch on Sunday

and my mother-in-law brought me tulips
Kai liked them because they are ORANGE and he LOVES ORANGE!
We ended the day with pizza from Barro's---my FAVORITE! I love being a mommy :)

The little garden that could!

First off I have to show you all what Kali and Kai made me for Mother's Day....these are "flowers" they made out of coffee filters. Kali had Fran and Kai help her color them. I think they had the most fun using tape to hang them up.
Now to my garden

this is what we got out of the garden yesterday, there were more snow peas but I used them to make yummy lettuce wraps for dinner and the kids eat them for snacks throughout the day.

here is Miss Kali munching away

and here she is having my mom help her pull the peas out.
She will never eat the entire pea pod, so she pulls the peas out and gives the shell to Noodle (our dog) and he loves them! Kai on the other hand will eat the whole thing.

If it were not for.....

My wonderful Mr. Becker,
this wild little eating machine
and this talk-a-tive little girl

I would not be a Mommy

thank you Kali, Kai and Fran for making me so happy!
