Family

My cousin Tyler recently passed away and we went to his funeral. He was always really nice to me, full of energy and would call me Fawni.  We were able to see family members that we had not seen in a while at his funeral. Some met my kids for the first time.

Swim Meet Fun

Our kids have so much fun at the swim meets and we sure love watching them. It's fun to have so many fun parents to sit and cheer with.

 Kora likes playing with Emme, they're so cute together.

 Swim team sure is fun & it keeps these kiddos busy.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Dad. A man who is not afraid to rock a velour track suit sitting through a LONG boring baton competition, dress up in Old Glory, sport some shorty shorts, or wear a baby Bjorn before it was hip. Thanks for all the advice (unwanted or not) trips to Home Depot, road trips and interesting facts, and for rowing us to safety when that row boat started to fill up with water (Oh Ferd).

To the best guy I know

teaches the kids to fish

takes us camping

drives the entire way on road trips

goes to swim meets

works hard for our family

dresses up every Halloween

shoots off fireworks in the cul-de-sac

goes on bike rides pulling Kora's trailer

carries kids that are too tired to walk

sleeps on the couch with the kids

sets up the tent out back

makes fires for s'mores

knows TONS of basketball statistics for Kai

tries his best to dance

is handy around the house

is the best kid thrower in the pool

goes to lunch at the school

always kisses the kid's good night 

always says "I love you"

gives the best hugs

is the best Daddy Daughter dance date

is teaching Kai to be a good man

and showing Kora and Kali what a good man is

is the BEST husband to their Mom.

I could go on and on. I love you Francis. Happy Father's Day.

Kora's swimming

Kora started swim class this week. She LOVES it! Kali gave her a pair of her sparkly googles to wear so she was pretty happy about that.

Between swim team, swim meets, cub club, discovery guard and lesson we're at the pool 18 hours a week. Can't think of a better place to be during Phoenix summer.

Carefree

We drove out to Carefree this weekend for a fun stay-cation

 the kids were REALLY excited

 We had a delicious lunch at El Encanto

 Seriously if you never eaten there....GO!

 The kids fed the turtles and ducks in the pond

 Then we walked over to Frontier Town

 hung out in a tee pee and walked around

 did a little dancing

 they to the room to relax and I took a nap

then time to put our swimsuits on, Koko was SOOO excited to swim

 there were a lot of bees in the pool so we swam around with cups and scooped them out then dumped them into the flower pots

 Kora and I warmed up by the fire after swimming

 Fran and I were so happy to relax

 we stayed out until the sunset

 We had dinner in our room and watched a movie. 

The next morning we ate breakfast by the pool for more swimming.

 Kai had a basketball game that afternoon so we packed up after breakfast and headed to his game. It was a fun little trip.

Kai got a first, second and third. Kali got 2 firsts, 1 second and one fourth.
