Kite trouble

It was quite windy the other day so we got out our little dragon kite & tried to take it up. The kite spent most of the time like this......

so Kali "read" the directions while Mr. Becker tried to fix the little guy

which did not work so we rode our bikes

and Kai filled my parent's mailbox with river rocks.

oh and a few days ago this sweet little guy said, "Mom, you're ruining my life" then started laughing and ran off! I could not stop laughing...he must be listening to his drama queen sister.

This is the face Kai wanted to make in the pictures...it was sooooo hard to catch him making an normal face. Crazy boy! He was so excited to wear this shirt because he said he looked like Daddy at work. Kali's yellow skirt was made by my cousin, her pink tutu skirt by my mom and her headband by me. She, unlike her brother, was excited to take the pics!

7 years ago today......

First swim of the year!

It was so nice and warm these past few days and Kali asked if we could go swimming (she asks any day that the sun is shining)

Mr. Becker had the day off so went over to the heated pool & took some water shooters.

bad idea for the old man he sprayed with water...luckily the man thought it was funny

all Kali wanted to do was practice her swimming with her Daddy....she just loves it when he is home (so does Mommy)

I am in NO way excited for summer but it was nice to get to swim today and the kids were so happy!

A Masked Bandit

If you don't already know, my parent's live next door. We live in the city however

....the wildlife we have around here it more country like. We have coyotes, quail, chipmunks or squirrel, hawks, rabbits and raccoons! But, now there is one less......

My dad trapped this little guy in their backyard and drove him up to Page Spring where he will be happier & probably safer.

Tomorrow Mr. Becker turns 35....he is not very excited BUT of course I am because I am down to celebrate ANYTHING! I also got him some nice gifts and I really want him to open them tonight because I am sooooo excited to give them to him. How weird is that?! Anywhoo....in honor of Mr. B being 35 I am going to list 35 things I love about him....

just kidding.

Kali had ballet on Saturday.....here she is all ready to go

I can't take pics of her actually dancing because the teacher is a VERY strict British woman who sounds like Mary Poppins but with the personality of the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. (well a little nicer)

Spring!

This is how we spent Friday......together...in the sun....getting our yard ready for spring

now our patio and yard is ready for many meals & play days

Days off with Daddy

Kai had his first class this week, it is Mommy and Me Dinosaur Art & Kai was not too happy about it. Hopefully he will warm up to the idea :) Kali and Daddy came by for his first class.

Oh and the reason Mr. Becker was able to come is because he was in a car accident on Tuesday evening where he hurt his back & his car is a mess. Francis went to the doctor, got a shot in his back and we picked up a rental car. He & his car will be fine after a little rest & repair.
We had dinner outside and Kali and Kai put on quite the show!

Kali is dressed like Mulan, of course! And Kai was just having fun dancing around.

Never a dull moment around here!

Tea for Tuesday

Kali started her week with her Letters class & she wanted to dress "fancy" for the day. She is wearing one of my sparkly necklaces so that is what makes this fancy. She LOVES learning!

and she LOVES her friends! Here are the girls having a tea party on Tuesday and Kali and Natalie were happy to see Brooke again before she moves.

Kali was so excited to do this little party and she wanted to decorate as much as possible (I decided to do this on the spur of the moment so it was not too fancy)

Kai spent the day playing outside....I think he was outside for about 8 hours! He had fun eating and making the mess on Mr. Becker's weight bench.

Oh and on a totally unrelated note: Kai had his pretend cell phone out today and he told Francis to be quiet because he needed to make a call. Then when he hung up he started pushing lots of buttons and said he was sending a text....he is soooo funny!
