Kali awards

Kali finished out 5th grade with an award ceremony in her class. She received:

It was a great year for Kali & she was really lucky to have Mr. Archer. She will be switching to Hidden Hills next year so her last day she said goodbye to Lookout for the last time. We're excited for next year, new friends & experiences for this awesome girl!

Roller Skating

Kali has never been roller skating before and she had a field trip coming up at Great Skate so I took her and a friend a few days before to learn. 

 we basically had the rink to ourselves and had so much fun! I love roller skating and Kali learned fast. She ended up having a great time on her field trip and now wants to skate all of the time.

Evening of the Arts

We went to see Kali's artwork and listen to her play violin at Evening of the Arts.

Kali is very artistic so it was neat to see what she made & learned in strings this year.

 

5th grade field day

Kali's field day. Kali, Yaya and I went to watch Kali at field day for a little bit.

Kali Basketball

Kali has been having such a great time playing basketball on her school team. She is on the B team so they have lost all but one game but Kali has learned a lot.  She also has some really nice friends on her team. 

Rainforest

Kali and her friend Marli did a presentation on the Rain forest so Kora, Yaya and I went to watch. They went ALL out. Digital presentation, rain forest diorama, and painted poster board. They only needed to do one but they loved doing all of this. Kali really loves school this  year and has been so responsible this year. She did not want any help with her project. 

 Kora was sooo silly, walking around, talking and wanted to play in the sink so we did not stay the whole time (we left after 20 min and they were still presenting) 

Lately....

I've been trying to sub two days a week so Kora spends time at my parent's house and my Mom took these cute pictures of her playing.

 Kora LOVES going to her preschool class. Her teacher said she is such a good girl.

 We went hiking last week with my friend Heidi who I've known since 7th grade. 

 Kali was such a good helper with the little girls. 

 It was such a beautiful day & we could even see snow on some of the mountains to the east

 today is Cardinal's spirit day at school so the kids are all dressed up in Card's gear

 Kai is SO excited for the game on Sunday. Last game he made us all these cardboard hands to wear during the game. 

First day of Winter Break!

Today was very exciting. We got to sleep in and be lazy in the morning. I got a phone call from my doctor saying that I am clear of any infections. First day of Winter Break!!!

 I must have told Kora to stay off the rocks 5 times but this girl just loves to climb
