School's cool

The kids are getting use to getting up early and having a routine again. (for Kai this is all new)

Look how cute they are all ready for school. I love that each of them just puts on whatever clothes I lay out for them. I loved dressing up Barbie dolls when I was young & these two are like my Barbie dolls now :)

 This handsome boy is doing really well at school and has made some nice friends. He informed us this week that he has a crush on a girl named, Diem.

 Kali LOVES her teacher. And rightfully so, she is wonderful!

 Here Kali is out in our front yard, she wanted to wear my fancy necklace & Kai is standing in line waiting to go in the classroom.

 Kai does NOT like having his picture taken, Kali loves it :)

 Kali has SO much homework this year but she is good about getting it done. Kai is just getting use to it but he gets it done quickly and easily.

 One of the best things about school is the awesome art work.

Park

We had a few nice nights this past week so we were able to take a walk to the park down the street. We all miss our after dinner walks so it was nice to finally be able to take one again and bring Kora.

She liked it :)

6:30 pm

Here is what was happening at the Becker house yesterday at 6:30 in the evening.

(it's weird to say evening because the sun is up until 8pm so it really just seems like an extended afternoon)

Anywhoo...Fran and the kids were playing a card game in the back (amidst a HUGE mess)

 Kora was hanging out in her little chair

 while I was making lettuce wraps and white rice for dinner.

(Kai probably ate 10 large pieces of plain lettuce...I've never seen a kid do that)

After dinner Kali read us a chapter of her book Kiley Jean Hoop Queen, brush teeth and the kids and I walked Noodle over to my parent's house (he is living there now and only comes here to visit...LONG STORY)

and then it was time for bed.

Knight

Kai wanted a knight cape to go with his knight costume so he asked the craftiest person he knows...Yaya!

Big Brother

Since this little miss is back at school...

Kai has taken over Kora duty. He gets her pacifiers when she cries, runs to get me burp cloths when she spits up, gets the diapers and wipes when I need them and hangs out with this little cutie pie on the couch. Here they are watching Marmaduke yesterday. This is Kai's first month being a big brother and man is he good at it. He's the type of big brother any girl would wish for. He said he has to protect his girls and he sure does. He holds doors open for Kali and me and he does not like to see any of the girls sad. I love this sweet little guy SOO much & I am so glad he is home watching over Kora and me :)

Back to School

Last night we had our "Back to School" dinner for Kali. She is starting 2nd grade this year---I can't believe it! Where did my little Kindergartner go?

Kai is going to start Kindergarten next year.

Here is the house before the party....

 and after the whole family got here...everyone came and Kali was SOOO happy!

 Grandma Kathi brought the kids  checkers/chess and Connect 4 games to play so they were busy all night and having a great time.

 We also watched the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

 And today Kali and I were up bright and early for her first day of 2nd grade!!

Yaya made her fancy skirts to wear to school because this girl likes to be dressed up!

 She was SO excited but also said she had butterflies in her tummy. Then right before I took her picture in the front yard a butterfly flew right by her & that's good luck :)

 As soon as she sat down she got to work coloring with her new colored pencils....she LOVES anything to do with art so it was a good start to her day.

It's only been 30 minutes and I miss her already.

1 month

Kora is one month today.

This month sure has gone by fast and has been a lot of fun and really exhausting all in one :)

 When I sit in Kora's rocking chair and feed her this is the view I have:

 Kali and Kai love to be in their room and watching tv but recently we decided they cannot watch so much so they watch one show in the morning and then it's time to turn it off and play.

They are both so creative and they come up with some cute things to play so it's always entertaining to watch them.

 They also like to make gigantic messes in their room but at least they are having fun.

 Kai in really into making his bed lately....not sure where he got this from since I never make beds. But good for him :)

 Kali and Kai have had to help out more since Kora was born.

They clean their room on their own, Kali fills the bathtub up for them by herself and they have been helping me cook lately. They made mini-hot dogs wrapped in biscuits this week for lunch.

They're also very helpful when it comes to Kora, they help get her diapers, pacifier and burp cloths when we need them and they love to hold her.

Kali started Hip Hop class yesterday and she LOVED it! She will be doing that class during the week and Tap, Jazz & Ballet on Saturdays. Kai will still be going to Karate on Saturdays so it will be a busy day for us!

A little me

A lot of people have been saying that my little Kora looks like me.

So after looking at some pics of me as a baby..... I definitely have to agree :)

Kora

Kora has been with us for 4 weeks now.

Time flies with this cutie pie!

She had an awful rash the past couple of days so she spent a lot of time naked on a towel airing out.

She's better now and back in her fancy clothes.

 My Mom made her this pretty dress so I had to snap a picture.

 

Siblings

Kali and Kai just can't get enough of our sweet little Kora

 actually she has not been SO sweet lately since she likes to scream.

And, I mean SCREAM! Not like a cry just a screech that is ear piercing.

I guess she figures that to be heard over yip yapping Kali, LOUD running Kai and barking Noodle it has to be done.

 We even went to my parents yesterday and my Dad said, "you're all too loud"....ha!
