Pinterest love

I made a rule for myself that if I am going to spend time on Pinterest (aka the ultime time eater) I have to make one thing a week from my boards. Here are some of the fun things I've made or done from Pinterest. I starting using this awesome idea a few weeks ago
Now my shower is always sparkling clean because I cleaning while I'm in there....so easy & saves time. Score! This was a great idea because nail polish & bobby pins are always around here
The kids loved making these
and of course any idea involving paint is a must for Kali & Kai
These were so easy to make & the kids used yarn to string them into necklaces
Kai loved this Star Wars packet with fun learning games.
I printed these up & laminated them with packing tape. Kali loved them!

Happy Kora

Kora is such a happy girl! Well, as long as she has a full tummy. She is like her Mommy. If she is hungry you better run! ha! She loves to watch Kali and Kai play, being outside, sweet potatoes, pears, puffs, Granddad & Yaya, when my Dad sings the "Indian Song", the little dogs at my parent's house, and she does NOT like being in the car.
We sure do love our sweet little Koko.

The cough

Kali missed 4 days of school last week. Poor thing had a nasty cough that would not go away.

We had a great time with her at home. The kids played outside for at least 5 hours everyday, laid on blankets in the grass, had picnics, dug holes in the dirt and even made up a bowling game with old water bottles. I love watching the kids playing outside and being creative.

They even helped me wash the car & then Kai decided that his bike needed to be clean too. Kali washed hers as well & then we took them for a bike ride.
Sadly, Kai has the horrible cough now & will be resting on the couch today. Poor kid. At least he had a nice week in the sun :)

Spirit Week

This week is Spirit Week at Kali's school. Since we tore out our carpet in our master bedroom on Sunday night Kali started coughing up a storm. She stayed home from school on Monday because she hardly got any sleep from coughing :( Poor girl.

Then Tuesday she was feeling better & went to school for Twin Day! Marli and Kali were SO excited to be dressed the same. We even took them to the park after school.

Sadly, Kali was up all night last night coughing again. So she is missing Pajama Day and was a little sad to stay home. Hopefully she'll feel better tomorrow.

Master bedroom Re-do

We're currently redoing our master bedroom. We already have the walls painted a pale blue and the french doors white (they were purple when we moved in & so were the walls--yuck!) We took our carpet out (it was the last room with carpet) and we're adding tile, new baseboards & we have to paint the a/c vent & light fixtures white (they are purple too) After we do this project it will be on to the connecting master bath (we want to use the same tile as the bedroom) and then the connecting walk in closet. Lots of work around here!

Itty Bitty Golf Tournament

Today Kai played in the Itty Bitty Golf Tournament. It was really cute & Kai had a good time with his Caddy Daddy :) The weather was really nice & a little chilly even. Kali and I cheered our little guy on! As soon as we got home Kai set up a mini golf course outback and kept playing.

Lookout Mnt.

Cheering up

I've had a rough couple of weeks. Fran has been so wonderful & trying so hard to cheer me. Yesterday I got flowers delivered to the house! (well I was picking Kali up from school but when I got home they were here) Then we went out to dinner and walked around the Camelback Esplanade. It was such a nice night & now I am back to my normal self. I am lucky to have such a good guy in my life because let's face it, they are hard to find.
Oh and if you live in Phx, did you know that the AMC at the Esplanade has dinner & a movie for only $9 during the week & $12 (plus the cost of your dinner)on weekends?? It is such a nice place and the seats are SO big and cozy! We did not go see a movie since we had just eaten but we will defiantly be going there soon. I love finding new, fun things to do around the city.
