New Doctor

We got some sad news recently. My OBGYN passed away. It was shocking and very sad. The saddest thing is that she left behind 3 young boys.
Thankfully, I had several girlfriends recommend their OBGYN's to me so I was able to find a replacement fast. Since I am 24 weeks along I did not have time to waste. My new OBGYN is really nice & has a fun, upbeat personality....I need to have a doctor like that this time around since Kai's delivery was difficult. She said I will be having a c-section and since Kai was so big we will schedule it a week earlier than my due date! I am really happy that she listened to me about the complications I had with Kai's birth.
So things were a little stressful last week with all of this but after I left her office I was feeling very much at ease and even a little excited about my scheduled c-section since she told me step by step what to expect. No doctor has ever done that for me. Here's hoping that my 3rd delivery will be all smooth sailing. After the awful year 2012 has been so far for me personally I really need this delivery to be easy.

Sewing for baby girl

I've been sewing up a storm for our baby girl.
I bought a pack of plain white onesies and jazzed them up with some fabric & iron-ons. The head bands were made with stretchy elastic sequins & I've been buying little hair bows to clip onto them. My Mom bought me the zebra print onesie and I added the pink ruffle heart. The birp cloths were made from a dish towel I cut in half and sewed left over fabric onto. The quilt is half finished. Seriously sewing that minky soft fabric is sooo hard on my sewing machine and it makes a huge mess but it's soooo comfy on a blanket.

I've been having so much fun making all this stuff for our little Kora and getting her room ready. The kids love to play in her room and even put some stuffed animals in there for her.
She is soooo loved already.
Seriously though after I sew for over an hour I need to take like a week off. Anybody else feel this way after they make something?

HUGE!

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I am HUGE! Well at least I feel HUGE. I can't get comfy at night so my sleeping has been a bit off so I am SOOOO tired. But I have not been sick even one day of this pregnancy--thank goodness! This baby has been kicking up a storm...might be a sign that she is going to be wild like her brother.

Spring Break 2012

We started the week off with a lazy Monday. It was really nice & just what we needed. We all slept in late and watched movies on the couch.
Then, Tuesday we were off to the Children's Museum. We had lunch on the picnic tables outside.

The kids chased pigeons, painted, used the hole puncher (Kai LOVES those) put on a puppet show and played & played!
After we stopped by our favorite candy store, Smeeks!
Francis came home early and finished the bead board on our bathroom wall, it looks awesome!
Wednesday we went to play at Grasshopper park. And it was our 9th wedding anniversary so Francis and I went out to dinner at Red Lobster--yum!
Thursday, Francis surprised me with a stay-cation at the Pointe Tapitio. The kids were SOOOO excited. We got there, put our bags down and went straight to the pool. The kids swam for 5 hours!!! We ate a late lunch at the pool, I relaxed and layed out in the sun, and Fran swam with the kids & played with the water guns. It was sooo nice. After, we went back to the room and layed in bed watching movies.
Friday, we slept in late and left the hotel & went to breakfast at Einstein's. Then we went home and unpacked and cleaned the house. Then, Francis took me to see the Hunger Games. I LOVED the book & the movie was pretty good.
Saturday, Kali had tap & ballet and Kai went to his first Karate class and LOVED it! The teacher said he is a natural.
Basically the week was great & went by WAY too fast. Oh! and our little baby girl is kicking away lately! We are one lucky little family :)

9 years

Happy Anniversary to us!
9 years ago today we were on the beach in Maui, with our families getting married.
We hardly have any pics of just us so here some oldies that I dug up. Two are before we were married and the other two only a few years ago.
Over these 9 years we have gone from just the two of us, to the two of us and Noodle, to adding Kali and becoming a family of 3, to adding Kai and being a family of 4.....now in our 9th year we will become a family of 5!! It's been quite an adventure, not always an easy one but soooo worth every minute.

Bump update

I am 23 weeks pregnant. We had some bad news last week. My OBGYN passed away. I have been looking for a new doctor and after many recommendations from friends I think I found one. I will be meeting her next week. Other than that I've been feeling good, just very tired because I can't seem to find a comfortable sleeping position. The kids are still SO excited for her to come and they love to talk to my belly. Here are some belly pics.

St. Patricks's Day

The kids made a trap to catch a leprechaun and filled it with fool's gold. They did not end up catching him but he left a note & "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss. Kali and read the book to Kai ,she is getting to be such a good little reader.

Then we had green waffles with strawberries and a green banana/spinach smoothie. Lot's o' green around here :)

Kali had tap and ballet today so she made sure to wear all of her green stuff so she would not get pinched. Kai stayed home with Daddy and they worked on our taxes. So hopefully that will result in some "green" for us. ;)

Kali's first field trip

Kali had her first field trip (she missed the last two) to the Wildlife World Zoo (aka: the dustiest zoo EVER) Francis & I were chaperones & Kai got to come along. It was a nice day & we had such a nice group of kids.
When we got home we all took showers because we were covered in dirt. I got to take a nap because being 22 weeks pregnant & spending 3 hours at the hot/dusty zoo just rocked my world. I am so glad Fran was able to take the day off and help with our group. I could not have done it without him & Kali was really happy to have her whole family there.
