A Chilly & Jolly Good Time at the Zoo

We went to the zoo with my friend Joy & her kiddos. I have I known Joy for 22 years now! Yes I know, it is hard to believe that I am even old enough for that to be possible ;) Our kids had fun but it was COLD! If you are one of my Utah friends or Colorado cousins reading this you are probably rolling yours eyes at me but it was COLD! Joy was prepared and brought gloves, I instead packed 200 snacks for the bottomless pit know as, Kai. Oh well, the kids were warm enough :)

Christmas Cheer!

Midnight:

bright and early at 7:30am:

opening presents 8am:

11:30 am took the kids out to ride thier new bikes over to Yaya's (not a very far ride)

and opened some presents

1:00 back home getting the house ready for dinner

we had our good friends the Strader's & the Wurr's come over for dinner & the kids played in Kali's room the ENTIRE time we ate! We actually had a grown up dinner that was quiet ---yay! It was so fun for Kali and Kai to have their friends here for Christmas :)

8:15 and Kali was doing this on the couch....she only slept for about 10 until she got up and wanted to know if it was still Christmas

and by 8:30, the guests were gone, our kids bathed & in PJ's and we were all laying down watching the Incredible's!

And by 10pm Mommy, Kali & Kai were asleep in Mom & Dad's bed & Mr. Becker was cleaning up the leftovers.

and then finally went to bed!

Having these two makes Christmastime so much fun :)

P.S. Mr. Becker has been painting our bedroom for the past two days, Ice Blue....it is my birthday present & I love it! Pics to come after the busy holiday.

Gingerbread Party!

I LOVE having parties!

So I thought why not have a Gingerbread party & let these little cuties make a huge candy mess outside?

It was a sunny day & the kids had fun playing outside and working on their little houses.

I made each kid an apron & they looked so cute, if I do say so myself ;)

Kai, of course, was more interested in eating so Francis & his mom helped him

The party ended with some crazy time in the bouncer.

Kai took a LONG nap after.

Have I mentioned how lucky I am to have such good friends?

Christmas at the Falls

Last weekend we went to the Christmas at the Falls at the Pointe Tapitio. It was a lot of fun for the kids! Here's Kali & Daddy in the car taking pics because I had to run inside and get comfier shoes on (the story of my life)

Kai loved making gingerbread cookies and eating them right up!

Kali got to make two because Francis got sick of holding her first cookie & THREW it AWAY! So, Kali was really MAD and so went and made another.

It was a fun night!

Busy Holiday Bees

December is the BEST month! The weather is PERFECT & we get to go to soooo many fun Holiday events. Wednesday we went back out to Desert Ridge Marketplace for the Story time & Elmo was there. Sadly the line for Elmo was about 10 years long but Kali had a great time listening to stories & dancing with The Little Gym. Kai just goes for the free Paradise Bakery cookies & he had WAY too many and turned into a sugar crack head! He was licking and yelling and drinking water like a crazy person. He was really funny at first and then it was a little exhausting :)

Kali was so happy & two of her friends were there so she was also yapping away :) She's my little chatterbox. Oh and see the lady reading the story....WELL she "shusshed" me & my friend, Monika because we were talking & she said the kids could not hear her reading. This woman is SO rude & a total wacko because she had a MICROPHONE so HELLO they can hear ya lady! The last few times we have been there she is always telling parents to be quiet, I think she is under the impression that she is really important. Well, she is wrong because any idiot can read a book. But, the kids seem to like her so that is good.

We also went to the zoo this week & the weather was perfect! We stayed over 3 hours and had so much fun with our friend's the Wurr's.

Kai, of course, sat in the stroller and ATE pretty much the entire time we were there. When he did get out it was only for playgrounds, bathroom breaks and this tractor.

K & K LOVE the zoo! And, I sure do love them :)

after the snow day at Desert Ridge made me have a mini-heart attack....

too many big kids throwing snowballs at all the little kids & ME! Grrr. But we had our friends with us and ended up eating and playing at Dave & Busters!

Christmas at Grandma Kathi's

Fran's mom is going out of town for Christmas so we celebrated early at her house and had brunch. The kids got lots of cute gifts Fran was excited to get a pair of running shoes. He asks for running shoes every year from his mom...he is pretty easy to buy for :)
