Spring Fling

The kid's school had a Spring Fling carnival and Kali and Kai had a fun time while I volunteered at the bouncy house slide.

Happy Sunday

We started today off with some Christmas pancakes (regular pancakes with sprinkles) and cleaned the house until it was time to go have lunch at Grandma Kathi's. We made Gingerbread houses after lunch.

Kora and Kai ate a TON of candy & frosting and were SOOOO wild
Then Daddy got serious about decorating

I had a moment of peace on the couch an almost fell asleep. It was GREAT!
We came home and Kora crashed on the couch after her sugar high. We sent Kai outside to play and run off his crazy. Later, during the Cardinal's game half time we went to look at "Christmas tree lights" (as Koko calls them) Look at her tongue that girl ATE SOOO much candy today. Kai was dancing up a storm at the houses that have music attached to their lights. Party in our mini van!
SUPER duper surprise! We saw a big 'ol pile of snow at the kid's school. JACKPOT! Since the kids were clearly dressed for the snow (NOT) they ran out and played and slipped (flip flops and snow don't mix)  in the snow.
It was Kora's first time seeing snow :)

I'd say today was one happy Sunday.
Now I am exhausted.

Kali LOVES Kindergarten.
Here she is presenting her "B" things she brought to school.

and wearing a smock getting ready to paint with her friend, Natalie

on Sunday afternoon she has rehearsals for her two parts in the Nutcracker
she is so excited!
Oh and Kai LOVES his costumes :)

Here is Kai concentrating hard in art class making a "Whaley Whale" as he calls it.
He was so proud.
My kids are learning so much this year!

Kai's art class

Kai starts his art class and sports class this week.
He is so excited to go to school "like Kali".
He even had me make him a lunch just like Kali's.

I was worried at first when he got mad about me not staying in the room with him but then he was fine and had a great time. When I was telling my mom later that day about his class he heard me and said, "oh I just changed my mind".

And, two of my friends have kids in the class--it was such a nice surprise to see them!
Here is a pic of Claire, Mimi :)
