We went up to Flagstaff for teh 4th of July.
The weather was PERFECT and we even got some rain. Loved it!
We had lunch at Chili's and Kora was super excited for her food :)
Kali rode her scooter around NAU campus (she decorated it for the 4th) while we walked around.
It was neat to show the kids where I spent my Freshman year of college.
We stopped at the Riordan Mansion State Park and Kai had fun pretending that it was a haunted gingerbread house (he just watched Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters) and looking for witches.
Kali liked the musuem and seeing all of the old stuff.
We got to see a lot of art around the Fine Art building at NAU
We went to see fireworks & drove around and waited for an hour....and nothing happened :( So we took silly pictures.
The next day we went to Lowell Observatory and the kids really liked learning about asteroids & the discovery of Pluto
Most of all the kids were happy to be outside & enjoying the woods.
We picked up lunch at Chick-fil-a and had a picnic at a nearby park.
It was such a fun little get-a-way but traffic in Flagstaff is horrible!
