The longest post ever!

Kali went back to school. We are back on our normal schedule and this guy is back to getting up early and watching Jake & the Neverland Pirates.

My brother, Cody turned 30 so we had another al fresco dinner party I can never get a good picture of Cody so here is one of him looking semi-normal but with his eyes closed. For some reason my brother think it's funny to ruin pictures with strange faces.
It was a nice night and the yard looks awesome right now. Kali had dance earlier that day so she was wearing her dance outfit all night. This girl loves to be fancy!

Here she is on her first day back to school....tear drop.

Fran has Monday's off so I took a substitute teaching job and the boys stayed home an played pirates!
Holy Moly Fran looks muscular---he is going to love this pic :)
Wednesday I volunteered in Kali's class, here she is with our neighbor
ohhh my sweet Kali only has 2 more months of Kindergarten...time is going too fast!
Here is a little cowgirl she made
We were lucky enough to get rain last night so our yard and plants look beautiful!

These are the flowers out front.
Mint, roses, pansies and stock flowers
My Easter Lily, basil & ivy

The garden

Pansies, rosemary & Petunias

Sugar snap peas creeping up the chicken wire and a tomato plant that has now grown at all.
Green beans
my cilantro is going to seed...bummer
all the roses are so healthy right now, I like mini-roses the best because they are perfect in small vases around the house
My newly painted chair and our ice plant in the back
Topsy turvy tomato
our little peach tree that is already sprouting fruit!
the lettuce & green onions are doing well but the spinach fried in the hot days we've had
Rose
the lemon tree is so full right now
A blue iris that popped up from under the thyme
our three new trees that Francis is always watering.....he is becoming quite the gardener/yard guy
We are going to have more rain this weekend and I am so glad for our garden and new trees!

But not so good for our plans to paint the patio this weekend....oh well I LOVE rain!

Friday=Funday!

Mr Becker has every other Friday off, it is one of the best things about his job. So Friday my brother Cody took him golfing. Oh and in case you're wondering Cody's job as a Phx Police Officer is safe thanks to a food tax the city is starting. Hooray for keeping cops!

here are the kiddos & Noodle waving goodbye to Daddy & Uncle Cody but don't feel bad for us being left behind.....

.....we went to our FaVOriTe restaurant, Flamingo Palace to celebrate my friend, Monika's Birthday!!! (she is Natalie's Mom)
Kali was so excited to have Natalie come to Flamingo. Seriously if you live in Phx you should stop in for a bite...sooooo good! Get the sizzling rice soup & you will not be sorry.
Monika told me not to post any pics of her (she is at the end of her pregnancy and has a strict no pic policy) so here is the table :)

Kai was so cute when Monika came to the table he said, "Happy Birthday to you Monika".

We had a great time....Monika you're a wonderful friend!

Oh and want to see the cutest home?? Click here

It is another European home that I am borderline obsessed with. Maybe I should wish upon a star that I can live in Europe? Kali told me if you wish upon a star your dream will come true...she said that is how she got her little horse to become real! Good to know :)

Happy 28th Birthday to Uncle Cody!

Uncle Cody turned 28 today!
He was on duty today from 11am-9pm so we celebrated on Thursday...and Shonda was on duty that night so she could not come. Cops and their crazy schedules! Oh and by the way he NEVER wears a shirt when he is off duty, so he is actually fairly dressed up for his birthday dinner :)

Loco in la cabeza

As many of you know my brother, Cody, is a Phoenix Police Officer and he comes over and tells us some crazy stories. People are nuts!

The other day he told us about a call the station got. Someone actually called in about seeing someone swing across Cave Creek road on a rope!

Do you think he looked like this?He has also seen a man driving on the wrong side of the road going south on 7th street headed toward Thunderbird. (this was during the graveyard shift luckily)

He saw a car driving very, very, slowly toward the PV Mall area so he pulled him over to make sure he was okay. Well, when he finally got the man to get out of the car he took off running.

Barefoot.

In woman's panties.

And camisole.

The man ran over rooftops, jumped off, landed and kept going (keep in mind he is barefoot) When they finally found him chilling outside of a Target (and wearing pants) they searched his car and found wigs, porn, and stolen ID's and credit cars. This high flying speedster was on Meth and Hep A positive and my brother said his feet were a mess.

A call from the Social Security office for a crazed woman with a cane led to him having to drag the woman out of the office with another officer. She shouted, "police brutality" and lost her shoes in the struggle....and then it was off to jail. Barefoot!

Oh and just so you all know he said that the Walmart on 19th avenue and Bell has cops there EVERYDAY. I guess people steal from there on a daily basis. So nothing too crazy but I know when I see a cop car at Walmart I always get a little scared.

And for my final installment of people are crazy. I was at Yoga last night and there was a man in the very front wearing running shorts!

These running shorts.

Needless to say when he did crow pose

it was a peep show!

People are crazy!
