Spring Break

Last week for Spring Break the kids kept busy. Kali went to an ASU gymnastics meet with her friend, Lauren. The girls had a great time!
Kai went to run errands with me and we went out for lunch at Barro's.
The kids went swimming even though the pool water was cold.
and for St. Patrick's Day, I set up a scavenger hunt with a "treasure" of new books at the end. I was actually substitute teaching that day so my Mom sent me this pic

St. Patty's

I found a really cute St. Patty's day scavenger hunt idea on Pinterest so when the kids woke up they got to go on a hunt for their "treasure". The really liked it & then we had green spinach pancakes for breakfast.

Spring Break

Our Spring Break was last week. The kids were sick for most of it so the fun stuff we did was filled with tissues, eucalyptus oil, honey, tea & a trip to the Pediatrician. We still managed to have a great week. And, getting to sleep in for an entire week is always much appreciated.
Kai made this fruit salad for St. Patrick's Day
We left this out for the kids on St. Patrick's day this year. (keeping it simple this year)
Kora learned how to hold her sippy cup-- woot!woot! for Kora!
We went out to Challenger Space Center in Peoria

Had lunch at Barro's pizza (while Kora took a nap)
Kali & Kai went to the Sun's game with Daddy

Kora LOVED the hat that Yaya made for Kali

they even made it on TV!!

We went shopping out in Anthem at the outlet stores & had lunch (Daddy was wearing his new birthday shirt)
Kora took a nap at Anthem Park

then was wild and ready to go!

Such a fun park & sooo pretty

Now Kali is back at school & we miss her :( But glad the kids are healthy again & Kora survived her first cold. Francis and I went out for an anniversary dinner at Fuego Bistro--sooo good. Colds and all, it was still a really nice week.

St. Patricks's Day

The kids made a trap to catch a leprechaun and filled it with fool's gold. They did not end up catching him but he left a note & "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss. Kali and read the book to Kai ,she is getting to be such a good little reader.

Then we had green waffles with strawberries and a green banana/spinach smoothie. Lot's o' green around here :)

Kali had tap and ballet today so she made sure to wear all of her green stuff so she would not get pinched. Kai stayed home with Daddy and they worked on our taxes. So hopefully that will result in some "green" for us. ;)

St. Patty's decor

I must confess...I don't get St. Patrick's Day. But I put up a little green decor anyway. Luckily there were some cute glittery shamrocks at Hobby Lobby (I LOVE glitter anything) and I printed a few things up online, like this cute Subway sign & paper to cut into flags.
Oh and after looking at these pics I just noticed that my mantle seriously needs to be dusted. So please don't mind my hidden little mess :)
