Resolution

One last look at the Christmas decor and now it's

Resolution time.

I have to declutter my life this year.

-only have 1 junk drawer in the entire house

-clean out closets

-throw stuff away that has not been worn/used in 2 years

-only spend time with real friends

-everytime I am at Target I must put something back before I check out

-organize the kitchen, organize the bills, organize my sewing desk, organize my closet

-stop putting things in the sheds/garage that we don't need to keep

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!!!

Christmas Afternoon & Evening

After we ate breakfast with Fran's mom we went next door to my parents house to open TONS of gifts!
Kali was so excited to get another Rapunzel doll and Kai was really excited about his new rocking chair. (he LOVES rocking chairs)

and he got a new bike!

a Spiderman bike!

Kali and her princess dress

My mom helping Kali unwrap and my brother, Bret
There were TONS of gifts!

The Thomas bunch

Francis took Kai out back to ride his bike & he just took off on his own! It was really cute watching Kai ride his bike around the sidewalk that my brothers and I rode on when we were little.
We ate more and then went home to put our gifts away. My brothers came over to help set up the Wii that Kathi got us and we layed around, the kids played, and we munched on snacks. I got new running shoes so I went for a run and Francis took a nap. In the evening we went to dinner at my parent's house. It was a perfect day.

Christmas Morning

We woke up Christmas morning and Grandma Kathi came over to open gifts with us and have a yummy breakfast!

Grandma Kathi got Kai the Woody cowboy boots hes been wanting & Kali got the cutest sweater ever (see the pic above) and a Barbie house!

and we got a Wii!!! So fun!
Santa brought Kai the tools he's been asking for.

And, Kali asked for a Rapunzel doll.....she got the Barbie doll one & the polly pocket sized one.
She used the gift boxes to make a tower for her dolls like the tower in the movie.
Kali is such a creative little girl and she was just singing away the whole time she played.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to the Kenny's (we've been friends with them as long as I can remember) with my parents & brothers. There was yummy food & good music! We came home and went for a little walk to see the luminaries in the neighborhood.

Then we each opened one present, made Santa's cookies, put out the reindeer food & Mr. Becker read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the kids and then it was bed time. Santa came and left a big snowy mess & thank you notes for the kids by the cookies.

Mesa Temple Lights

Tea please

My cousin, Rosemary had a Sugar Plum Fairy tea party this week. It was really cute & the kids had so much fun playing and having some yummy snacks. Rosemary had the Nutcracker ballet on for the kids and tea. Kai spent the party outside and decided to RIDE on their dog?! Seriously. He was on the dog waving a sword in the air--ha!

A busy week

Poor Kali started the week off sick :( So wee took her to the doctor (in this little Santa hat)

got her some meds, went & picked up her makeup work and went to Flamingo Palace.
Nothing like wonton soup and green tea to make you feel better :)
The day she went back to school was also the day I went to do the Holiday party.
It was fun but pretty hectic since it was a rainy day and the kids were wired!
Here is a peek at what the kids ate and made:
The happy class

Kai was there for a litte bit but wanted to leave after he ate his cupcake so my mom picked him up.
We also partied out at Desert Ridge storytime again this week.
My mom and Aunt Minnie came with us.
It was WAY to crowded so we just went shopping and ate dinner.
What a fun, busy week :)

Our very own Becks

This past Sunday we got up bright and early to see Mr. Becker & his team play in the championship game! Kai brought a breakfast burrito.
#16 is our guy!
The game was pretty boring (seriously soccer is lame-o) but they won 4-0. When the game was (finally) over Kali said, "hey that one guy took his shirt off".
Guess who that one guy was??
Our very own Becks.
(he is one of the only guys I know that looks better without a shirt on)
Even thought I don't understand soccer I was really proud of him :)
Daddy and his team
VENDETTA!

Did I mention we just signed Kali up for soccer?? It's going to be one LONG season.
But on a happy note, Francis is her coach & I got her the cutest soccer ball & socks you've ever seen!

Christmas at the Falls

Gingerbread Party/Slumber party

We had a gingerbread party this weekend with Kali's friends.
Jack and Kai were the only boys at the party

It was such a nice day and the kids were able to be outside

Then Kali had her friend, Ari spend the night.
It was Kali's first sleepover & Kai was happy to play with the girls & watch movies.

Gettin' crafty with it, na-na-na-na-na-na-na

I am making handmade gifts this year and here is an easy and fun gift to make for teachers/mommy friends/Grandma's
They are holly pins. I got the idea from Martha Stewart, here are the instructions

and I just used felt, small ornaments & little bits of glitter leafs I had on the tree to embellish them. The cards are made from House of 3 printables you can buy online.

They were really fun to make too (except for the hot glue gun burn)
Now on to my sewing machine.
Can I just say that Baby Lock is the best!
I am making a quilt with all the fabric I have been saving for something special.
Now I just need to find the perfect backing.
