Last Day

Kai had his last day of preschool today.
He is glad to be done because he said he "hates going to letters class"
AWESOME.
Hoping his attitude about Kindergarten will be a little better.
He had such a nice teacher for the past two years and he gave her flowers with a thank you card he wrote by himself.
Here are a few pictures of my seriously crabby little guy.

Things Kai is learning

how to make healthy snacks at Little Chefs class
how to help Mommy mop the floor
 how to kick some booty
or as he puts it "how to protect the girls in the family"

how to get embarrassed when Mommy takes a picture of you in preschool
 how to make friends

and most important lately, how to be a good big brother
I think it is safe to say that he's pretty much mastered that
*now if he could just learn how to go to Target and NOT get a toy with out freaking out...that would be great ;)

Getting ready for Thanksgiving

The kids made "thankful" trees. They said they're thankful for our family, toys, the new baby coming, Noodle & friends.

Kali had a feast at school today and Kai and I got to come.

She was such a cute little pilgrim.

And Kai made this hilarious hat at preschool. He cracks me up!

I love being a Mommy so much and I am so grateful that we'll be adding another baby to love to our family. .

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Learning

Kali is loving school. She never wants to miss. Ever. Even when we asked her if she wanted to go to Disneyland. Her first question was, "am I going to miss school??" She was very concerned. She said two days of dance was not enough because she is "very serious" about it. (ha!) So I found a ballet class at a community center nearby so she goes 3 days a week now. We're also going to surprise her for Christmas with a ballet barre in her room.

Kai is still going to ABC class and since he has been having so much fun I signed him up for an art class as well. He is also going to swimming class at Aqua Tots. This kid LOVES water & they already want to move him up a level after 2 classes.

I am so glad that my kids love to learn.

I'm learning that time goes by so fast and I need to really stop and enjoy these two everyday. Kali is growing up so fast and learning so much at school. I am amazed by her intelligence and how much she cares about others, she is such a good friend. She is very sweet and kind at school but when she comes home she is one tough gal. I think that will be a good balance in life.

Kai is so full of energy and loves to be outside. He loves pirates and is always up for exploring. He is a very fast learner and his vocabulary is massive & at times hilarious. Seriously this kid talks, and talks, and talks. (I wonder where he gets it from--ha!)

I know I am blabbing on and on about my kids but a friend of mine lost her 4 year old son this week to cancer and it made me realize that every moment is so important because you never know what can happen.

Her son was in a community center art class with Kai when they were 3 and on the last day she said he wasn't feeling well and she was going to take him to the doctor. Now he is gone.

Every day really is a gift.

Busy kids

Kali has been LOVING dance. She goes to Jazz first (here she his with her cousin Tatum waiting to go in to class)

She has been working very hard on stretching and is getting very close to doing the splits.

Her favorite class is still ballet and she said tap is okay.
Kai is doing really well in his ABC class and was excited to see that his school is getting ready for Halloween.

I'm so proud of these two...and I've put a lot of miles on my car lately driving these two around :)

Kai's preschool class

Last night we had a special "Kai goes to school" dinner. He wanted steak, broccoli, bacon & cookies for dessert.

Here is his little backpack next to Kali's....sooo cute!
And, his first day of preschool picture. He is just taking an ABC class at the community center 2 days a week. It's a good way to ease him into school slowly (I did the same with Kali)

He had a great time! I was SO relieved :)
