Busy Kai

Kai has been a busy boy lately.

Camping outback

Playing soccer

going to Karate (sorry about the blurry picture but I have to take the pic through the window)

playing more soccer

going on family hikes

playing at the park with friends

and more soccer

I had his parent teacher conference last week & his teacher said he is SO smart, serious, helpful and always stays on task. My sweet Kai is such a good boy & making us SO proud.

Karate Tournament

Kai had his first karate tournament this weekend. He had to fight this adorable tiny blonde girl in the first round and he hit her once & then did not hit her again. He ended up getting a 3rd place medal. Afterward we asked him why he gave up & he said, "I did not feel comfortable hitting that little girl".

Love this sweet boy. Hopefully next time they will have a boys only division. We always tell him to never hit girls so how on Earth are we suppose to tell him to beat one up? Shesh. Stupid co-ed karate.

Yellow

Kai has been waiting for this day for over a year now.

How cool to get your yellow belt at the age of 5.

He is legit.

 He calls the girl on the right "his love"

 Since he's been home he keeps saying, "I can't believe I am a yellow belt"

This is one cool kid.

Things Kai is learning

 how to make healthy snacks at Little Chefs class

 how to help Mommy mop the floor

 how to kick some booty

 or as he puts it "how to protect the girls in the family"

 how to get embarrassed when Mommy takes a picture of you in preschool

 how to make friends

 and most important lately, how to be a good big brother

 I think it is safe to say that he's pretty much mastered that

*now if he could just learn how to go to Target and NOT get a toy with out freaking out...that would be great ;)

Karate Kai

Kora & Yaya came with me to watch Kai at Karate class. He is sooo darn cute in there.

He is working on getting his next belt.

Weekend happenings

This weekend was spent swimming at Grandma Kathi's, taking Kai to karate, watching movies on the super couch and going to the Children's Museum. We also cleaned out the kids closets & toys and took stuff to Hissyfits, a consignment store we like to go to.

It was a fun, busy, & HOT weekend.
