Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween from our sweet little Pumpkin :)

Kali started the day off with pumpkin & ghost shaped rolls with scrambled eggs.
She wore her skeleton earrings and the adorable ghost skirt that my Mom made her.

I went to help in her classroom today.
Here is her Roxy bagpack hangin up on the wall.
Listening to instruction for the Halloween centers

 With her friend, Lauren.
2nd graders have such funny teeth.
I helped the kids make pumpkin people.
Kali made an extra one for Kai since he is not feeling well today.
I picked Kali & her friend, Monica up at the end of the day and we came home and carved the pumpkin.
 Sweet baby Koko helped out.

Then we headed off to Yogurtini, for free yogurt for all kids in costume.

Next up is dinner & trick-or-treating!!

Halloween Party 2012

Last night was our annual Halloween Party.
It was at my parent's house this year which was a HUGE help to me. My Mom, Dad & Sister-in-law helped with everything.
It was a fun night but it was exhausting.
SOOOOO exhausting.
My feet & legs hurt still.
Kai said it was the "most awesomest Halloween Party ever"
Mission Accomplished.

And here are the pics.

Party day!

Yesterday we woke up, got Kora ready for a busy day of parties in her cute skeleton jammies and then headed off to Kali's dance class.
She wore this cute little pirate get up to tap & ballet.
Then we came home & got the kids ready for the neighborhood park party.
It was SO hot & dusty but the kids had fun winning prizes for their costumes.
Kora was so good the whole time just hanging out in her stroller.
Then we walked home and started getting ready for our annual Halloween party.

Fall Lovin'

Phoenix is a nightmare in the summer.
NIGHT. MARE.
So as soon as the weather dips below 90* we spend entire days outside.
It is my idea of heaven.
Fall is heaven.
The trees are full, meals outside are a MUST, the grass is SO green & soft, our garden is growing pea pods (a MUST around here since the kids love them) romaine lettuce, spinach & heirloom tomatoes.
There are birds singing and butterflies everywhere this year
and having the windows open to let in the breeze & being able to bake without sweating is soooo nice!

We decorated cookies with every intention of sharing some with the neighbors & Kali's teacher BUT they were so good they did not last long around here :)
The past few days have been BUSY preparing for our annual Halloween Party.
Kai is still trying to decide which of his 10 costumes he will wear, poor kid has a hard life.

Kali is trying to talk me into letting her dress like a "dead" cheerleader instead of a living one.
Oh and today she had fall school pictures. I got her all dressed up and she was not happy with her shoes but I said oh it won't matter because it's only your chest up. She said, "oh no, NOT headshots, I wanted full body because I was going to do a fabulous pose". ha! She will have to save her fancy pose for dance pictures :)

I LOVE Pumpkin!

Today Halloween Prep is in FULL SWING!
We've had our decorations up for a few weeks now but today is the day I cook a pumpkin which means we will have pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cake, pumpkin seeds (I sound like Bubba Gump talking about shrimp)
anyways I love PUMPKIN!
We're also making sugar cookies and doing some Halloween crafts today.
I did not want to waste the pumpkin stem so we made it into a pumpkin shaped stamp.

This was a really fun (if you don't mind glitter) and easy craft. We used Elmer's Glue to make shape of a spider web on Parchment Paper & cover it in glitter, let it dry and  CAREFULLY peel it off.
Thank you pinterest for another great idea!
Kai LOVES skulls because they remind him of pirates so we have quite a few in our decor.

Girly Cuteness!

I was looking at pictures on my camera and there are so many of my cute girls.
Here is Kali excited to be in the box house
 Our sweet Kora in dreamland

I helped in Kali's class the other day and got some cute pics of her

Kora all dressed and ready for the day

Look at these fancy shoes....her feet were kicking all over (as usual) so it's blurry
and to balance out all of this girly cuteness here is Kai making a funny face in the box house.
We are so lucky that we have our two cute girly girls & this rough, tough, hilarious & snuggly boy :)
