Downtown

We went downtown yesterday to visit the AZ Science Center. I would definitely say this place is for older kids but Kali and Kai had an okay time and Kali always love going to "the city"...that is what she call downtown. Kai was happy to see the lighrail in action and on the way home we stopped at our favorite candy store, "Smeeks". I have to agree with Kali, "the city" is soooo fun!

If we have the kids water table filled up Kai will go right out and dip his head in. He looks just like Squiggy from Laverne and Shirly. So funny!

Yellow

Yesterday I went to Home Depot and bought some yellow spray paint to paint a chair I had out on the patio. I had more than enough so I sprayed my garden trellis' yellow too. Francis came out and laughed at me because I was also wearing yellow shirt....I LOVE yellow! The trellis' definitely add some pop to our garden!

Kali asked me to turn on the soundtrack from Princess and the Frog and she ran back into her room to get dressed. This is the outfit she came out in....it consists of 3 different skirt that Yaya made her & a crown/veil :) She was dancing up a storm!

This and that

Mr. Becker is STILL sick....Poor guy went to the doctor on Thurs and got some meds so he is feeling a little better. (finally) Since Fran was home coughing I took a sub job on Friday for a 7th grade English class and all I have to say is 7th grade girls can be SO annoying! Certainly I was never that talk-a-tive or loud?! OH crap I am still that talk-a-tive...gotta work on that ;)

Today we took my little yapper (Kali) to see her new Elementary school (they were having a Wellness Fair) Daddy and Kai came along this time because Kali wanted to show Daddy her school. Kali is so excited for Kindergarten...I of course am not.

I am going to cry like Tom Chambers when I take her on the first day & we even get to stay with her the entire day but just the thought of her being a "big" girl makes me so dang sad! Kai really liked the school and brought his wallet along with a dollar and bought some books at the book sale. He was all proud of himself for being able to pay, it was cute. Then someone said, "your son look just like your husband" and I thought to myself....are you blind?! Kali is Mr. Becker's twin & Kai looks like ME! I am a little crazy about this fact because seriously I carried these kiddos for 9 months each, and one better look like me!

Alright this has turned into a rambling mess....I am not even sure what this post was initially about--ha! P.S. it is sooooo HOT and going to be 90* tomorrow....Blast you Phoenix!

Sickies

So Kali and I have the WORST allergies right now.....Kai is perfectly fine and if you're wondering about Mr. Becker well....................

and when a man is sick the world stops turning, the sun stops shining and all heck breaks loose (like on the ghost busters) Alright maybe not all that but Mr. B hardly ever gets sick but when he does it's a really big, sad deal :( So he was home the past few days and luckily we gave him some Tylenol Cold & Flu, scraped him out of bed and went to see How to Train Your Dragon....it was SO cute! Kai almost jumped off of Fran's lap a few times when the dragons jumped out--ha! Kali was so good and just watched the movie very quietly (she only asked a few questions, unlike her normal 100 q's) So, Mr. B is back at work today and hopefully feeling a little better.

Ohhhhh yeah......

Not under my desk

I just told Kali that she needed to pick up her room so I could vacuum....seriously this girl is a messy moo! She was in her room screaming bloody murder and HELP so I ran in and she said, "I need helping cleaning up". So, I helped her pick up a bit after calming her crazy self down and then she came out to tell me she was done and she said, "But don't vacuum under my desk".

Easter Sunday

Kali wanted to take silly pics so here is the one pic of me from Easter :) When you're a mommy you take pics...so no time to be in them! We started the day VERY early because Kali was so excited to get her Easter basket. We ate blueberry waffles outside and then I went for a hike & Francis worked out (he works out in our backyard)

When I got back Kali wanted to go for a bike ride because she wanted to test our her new bike horn she got in her basket. I guess the little horn gave her super powers because now she is able to ride the bike on her own without daddy holding on! She was so happy :) And, Kai of course rode like a bat out of hell...he is CRAZY on his bike! The kids went to my parents and did another egg hunt with my Aunt Minnie & Cousin Noah. They were so excited to see Noah! I don't have any pics of this because I was taking a shower and laying down....my allergies are in full force & the morning hike did NOT help. But if you're from Phx you now that the last of the nice weather must be taken advantage of! So when the kids came back home we got out the water grenades & had a water fight!
Kai was soooo excited to hit me! He kept saying, "hit mama"!

My aunt was talking to me over the fence so Noodle had to jump and pant and bark the whole time. He is cute but he is SO annoying!

Of course not Easter would be complete without "shiny eggs" that is what my kids call hard boiled eggs.

We only made 6 since I am not a big fan of eating these things for the rest of the week.

Kali ate one and then asked for another and I went into my room later that night and I could not figure out what stunk & then I found the egg she did not eat on my sewing desk--YUCK!!!

My little egg makers :) Oh and Kai got a haircut...I had to talk him into it because he told me he wanted to grow his hair long like a pirate (a la Jack Sparrow) but I told him I would cut it like a Surfer & he was SO excited! So he is back to his faux hawk which I think is pretty darn cute on him :) He is so sweet, he always tells Fran & me, "I love you with my whole world, more than the tea cups at Disneyland" (he has never been to Disneyland so it's pretty funny)

Wow I totally got off topic! Here are Kali's cute eggs that she said I HAD to take a picture of.

At the end of the day she said, "This is the luckiest day EVER"!
