Memorial Day/Kid's birthday party!!

Since the kiddos birthdays are only 2 days apart we do a joint party every year. Last year I got a little lazy and did it at Peter Piper Pizza so this year I decided to go BIG!

I let the kids invite 25 of their closest friends and my parents said we could use their yard for the shin dig.

Huge Yard CHECK

Giant Water Slide rented CHECK

50 guests CHECK

good food CHECK

balloons galore CHECK

popcorn machine CHECK

snow cone machine CHECK

kid's helping shuck the corn....double check!

balloon arch....check!

It was so much fun getting everything ready for the party. Especially since my Mom helped me a lot and that made things much easier.

Kai spent half the party playing with Uncle Bret and at one point I found him downstairs sword fighting both my brothers...ha!
Kali was SO happy to have so many friends and to be able to eat an unlimited amount of snow cones :)

Thanks to everyone that came to share the day with us and for all the awesome gifts!

And, a big thank to the Kenny girls for the help!

AND to my Mom & Dad....the best Grandparents any kids could ask for!

Kali's last day of Kindergarten

They had a pizza party and ice cream sundaes. Cleaned the tables with shaving cream and watched a movie. It was a great last day to a wonderful year. I cried on her first day and I cried on her last. I am so grateful to Mrs. Carmen for making this year so special for Kali and for teaching her SO much.

the pirate ship had him mesmerized!

He ran and got his pirate crew to board the ship

We went to the library and picked Kali up for lunch at Flamingo Palace

Kai ordered all his favorites!

4

Today my little boy is 4.

Seriously I cannot believe he is 4 already.

Giving birth to Kai was a nightmare...his first few months he was a horrible eater...and his first year of life he got up at least 4 times a night.

Now he eats non stop and likes to snuggle with me as soon as he gets up.

He is a scurvy dog

LOVES to sword fight and be with his Daddy (oh and wear matching clothes with him which is not always possible)
He is fearless on his bike

he loves his family and when we asked him what friends he wanted to invite to his party he named Uncle Bret, Yaya, Granddad, Uncle Cody and Grandma Kathi

He is an artist and loves to paint

he tells me he loves me all the time

he thinks his sister is the coolest

he is the sweetest, funniest boy and he his as tough as nails!

Happy Birthday you scurvy dog!

We love you.

Kali's special day

Kali's birthday started with balloons & gifts...her new camera to take pics on our summer trip.

She wanted cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, lemonade, and cran-grape juice for breakfast. While we were eating her friend Brooke (in Kansas) called! It was a fun morning.

After we ate we went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Kai was our own little Jack Sparrow.

After dinner the Granparents came over for cake!

Mr. Becker and I were a little sad that she is getting so big....she told us, "I will always be your little girl"! She sure will!

Kindergarten Spring Show

See this crazy girl?

Her sweet little Kindergarten class (well mostly sweet) had a Spring Show this week.

Kai "The Scurvy Dog" came
Kali welcomed the parents

they made coffee filter flowers for the Moms and fabric ties for the Dads

They did the play "Chicken Licken" and Kali was a singer/stick player

Here we are after the show

Kali was so happy because she had her whole family there including Grandma Kathi, Yaya & Granddad, Uncle Cody & Ashly.

I still can't believe this year is almost over....it's sooo bittersweet but I am proud of Kali and how much she has learned.
