MLK weekend we went up to Vegas for Francis' soccer tournament and left the kids with Yaya and Granddad. It was our first trip alone in 12 years!!! We had a great time. The games were freezing, who knew Vegas gets that cold? I won $146 on a quarter slot so that was exciting. We ate lots of delicious food and had fun hanging out with the other guys and girlfriends on Fran's team. We stayed at NY NY which worked out good for us getting to the soccer fields. Can't wait until next year!

Black Canyon City
One of the things the kids asked to do over winter break was to go visit my Grandfather's land in Black Canyon City. Ferd (my Grandfather) is dead now so the land belongs to my Dad and Uncle. We went up there and shot pellet and bb guns
threw rocks in the pond. This is a big deal because Ferd NEVER let us do this and would get mad and tell us that we would fill the pond up.
We explored the caves filled with tractors, tools and a gila monster
this is a shed filled with random stuff
and visited Ferd's ashes (under my Dad's feet)
and the cave house
Then, we headed over to Rock Spring's café for lunch
It was a really nice day.
