Spring Break Day 5

Yesterday the kids and I slept in, had breakfast, got the car washed & got Icee's because it was SO hot! 100*!!

We headed to the mall for a carousel ride, visit the puppies in the pet shop, and have lunch.

When we got home Mr. Becker was there! He got off early and we were so happy to see him.

We filled everything we possibly could up with water and I laid out in the sun.

Kai said this was his bathtub.

After dinner we headed down to First Friday at the Art Museum where we saw these creepy ghosts (the kids were a little freaked out by them)

after we got off the trolley and woke Kai up we went into the Phx Art Museum for Flowers & Art night---it was awesome!

The kids had a great time looking at all of the art and when we got home my brothers & my bro's gf came over to play Wii....we stayed up WAY too late but it sure was fun!

Spring Break Day 4

Last night we ate dinner outside (Kali's request) and had sausage & tomato pasta, beignets, garlic green beans (the kids call them magic beans) carrots and pea pods with dip.

It was nice, minus the mosquitoes.

Kai chomped down the pea pods. and Kali showed us some acrobatics

This morning Kai brought his lion out and told me he pooped all over the house.

I came into the living room and found this:

The lion has a tear in his rear and Kai pulled this "poop" out. Ha! boys are crazy!

Today we went to the Children's Museum and had a great time!

The kids were on the climber for a whole hour! Look they are in a cage :)

Spring Break Day 2 & 3

Yesterday the kids and I slept in & Mr. Becker was back to work.

We cleaned, did laundry, painted fingernails and had a nice lazy day.

When Mr. Becker got home we had dinner (the kid's wanted Chinese food so we had beef with broccoli) and went for a walk. Kai insisted on taking one of Kali's babies that he named, baby Jake. It was so cute seeing him push the little stroller around the neighborhood.

After our walk I went to Target and bought the kids Tangled (such a cute movie) and we stayed up late watching it.

Today I put our Easter decorations

and Kali helped me fix up an old wreath we added moss, a bird, eggs and a butterfly In the afternoon we headed out to Desert Ridge to play and paint at As You Wish

Kai painted a skateboard and Kali did a tea cup with saucer.

Yaya came too and we had a nice time.

The only bad thing about the day is that it's getting warm.

To me spring is a little depressing.

It means that summer is coming and I DO NOT like summer.

The kids are happy because they can't wait to go swimming again....looks like we will be back in the pool this weekend when it gets up to 100!!

Now I must get back to watching Tangled.

Spring Break Day 1 - Picnic at the Park

We started our first official day of Spring Break with the kids getting up early....in fact Kali got up earlier than she does for school....crazy! We at breakfast outside under the lemon tree and made plans to go to The Farm to eat, but it's closed on Monday. Then we decided to go to The Children's Museum, but it's closed on Monday. So we thought we would go back to Enchanted Island, but it's closed on Monday & Tuesday. What is up with Phoenix taking a day off on Monday??

So we had a picnic with friends at Moon Valley Park (aka Grasshopper park).

The kids had fun exploring the desert and Kai found some great sticks.

Kali and her friend are both rock lovers so they found a bunch.

Kali and her friend Maggie....Mr. Becker dug a big hole for them to bury each other. For some reason my kids insists on going down the slide together.

And, Kai almost killed himself on the fire pool he started out good

and literally let go and smashed to the ground in 1/10 of a second! This kid is crazy but oh soo cute.

So far we are loving Spring Break!
