Father's Day 2018

This year we had three Fathers to celebrate. My Dad, Francis and now Uncle Cody!
The kids decorated and surprised Fran with gifts and cards. I got him his favorite doughnuts from Bosa and coffee from Starbucks. Then, we had a dinner in the evening with my Dad. It was a good day celebrating.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Dad. A man who is not afraid to rock a velour track suit sitting through a LONG boring baton competition, dress up in Old Glory, sport some shorty shorts, or wear a baby Bjorn before it was hip. Thanks for all the advice (unwanted or not) trips to Home Depot, road trips and interesting facts, and for rowing us to safety when that row boat started to fill up with water (Oh Ferd).

To the best guy I know

To the Dad that:
goes down the bouncy house water slide
shows up for school parties
goes to dance recitals
coaches soccer games
coaches basketball games
teaches the kids to fish
takes us camping
drives the entire way on road trips
goes to swim meets
works hard for our family
puts the star on the Christmas tree
drives us around looking at Christmas tree lights
dresses up every Halloween
shoots off fireworks in the cul-de-sac
goes on bike rides pulling Kora's trailer
carries kids that are too tired to walk
sleeps on the couch with the kids
sets up the tent out back
makes fires for s'mores
knows TONS of basketball statistics for Kai
tries his best to dance
is handy around the house
is the best kid thrower in the pool
goes to lunch at the school
always kisses the kid's good night
always says "I love you"
gives the best hugs
is the best Daddy Daughter dance date
is teaching Kai to be a good man
and showing Kora and Kali what a good man is
is the BEST husband to their Mom.
I could go on and on. I love you Francis. Happy Father's Day.

Father's Day 2013

Sunday was Father's Day and we spent the day eating and relaxing (two of Mr. Becker's favorite things to do) The kids are SO lucky to have such a strong, loving, fun, hard working Dad.
The kids gave Daddy a coffee cup with pictures of them on it and I got him some new shirts for work.
We sure do love this handsome man :)

Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day
to the Daddy that that is always willing to build a fort out of a box or pillows or sheets, go to dance performances, hike mountains, ride on Merry-Go-Rounds, carry the heavy bag pack at the zoo & Disneyland, splash in the waves at the beach, build a sand castle, play Star Wars or Barbie or store or pet shop, watch puppet shows, go to Karate classes, coach Soccer teams, watch Happy Feet or Chipwrecked (the worst movies EVER) get bandaids for imaginary wounds, give the kids baths when I am tired, run in the sprinklers, build mud castles, blow up balloons, go camping, dance to Disney songs, carry Kai all around Washington DC when he got tired, grill the best shrimp and steaks, do cannon balls into the pool, read with the kids, go bowling, climb the climber at the Children's Museum, and SOOO much more!
You're a wonderful father Francis! Happy Father's Day!!

Mr. Becker

Today is Father's Day.

I made Mr. Becker the breakfast of his choice and right now I am making a special peanut butter dessert.

While I was cooking I looked out the window and saw him filling up water balloons for the kids.

Francis is such a wonderful Dad. The kids and I are so lucky to have him here to keep us safe and feeling so loved. The kids always look forward to him coming home from work and they love spending time with him and learning from his example. He is strong, confident, he never gives up, he puts the kids and I above everything and he makes us all feel special. Happy Father's Day Mr. Becker!

Little orchard

We started today learning about Japan and making hanging Japanese fish.
Kali and Kai helped Mr. Becker dig a hole for our new plum tree.
Our dream is for our yard to be full of trees....like our own little Becker orchard!
How awesome will it be to have plums and peaches growing in our yard?! I hope they produce as much as our lemon tree does.

planting the tree

and patting down the dirt
Kali and Kai were so excited to help Daddy plant the tree and fix our sprinklers. Aren't they lucky to have such a good daddy to teach them? Happy Father's Day Francis, you're the best Dad any kid could ask for :)

Father's Day

This is the pic Fran got in a frame for Father's Day...not sure if you can tell or not but they are dressed in Fran's clothes (and my shoes since Fran's are on the highest shelf and they could not reach them) they love to dress up like him and play "Daddy". Kali told me what to write the on the photo, it was too cute! I got him a tie, I know sounds boring but Francis wears a tie to work everyday & he needed a new one ;)
Now the top ten reasons why Francis is a wonderful Dad:
  1. he loves to play outside with the kids (even when it is over 100*)
  2. he likes to take them to the "yucky park" (the park in our neighborhood that I dont' like because it is too dusty & there is are no bathrooms)
  3. when he reads Kai his favorite bedtime story "Mater" he tries his best to make the Mater voice and it cracks me up!
  4. instead of golfing or going out with friends on the weekends he is always here spending time with us
  5. he is not too cool to play tea party with Kali
  6. instead of going to the gym when he gets home he works out on the patio so the kids can play out back while I cook dinner and I get some much needed relief ;)
  7. he lets the kids play in the car (something I do not like to do)
  8. he makes Kali & Kai's mommy very happy!
  9. he provides for our family
  10. he makes us all feel safe and loved!

On a totally unrelated note: we are still going private on Friday.....so send me your e-mail address if you want to view our blog: fawnandfrancis@gmail.com :)
