Easter

I just realized that I forgot to blog about Easter.

We started the day with blue bunny pancakes.

Then we headed over to Grandma Kathi's for lunch.

 The kids had fun hunting for eggs and opening their baskets of goodies

 Koko is a really good little egg hunter (she is wearing the Easter dress Kali wore when she was 2)

 We had a really nice time & even took a pic of all of us together. It's a miracle!

After Kathi's we went to my parents for dinner & swimming. 

Kai's first field day

Well calling it a field day is a bit of a stretch. It was basically a day of playing outside and NO competition at all. Kai said it was lame.

He was kind of right.

 Luckily, the weather cooled down after Kali's toasty field day.

 Kai does not like wearing his class shirt because there is a koala on the back. ha!

Kali's Field Day

Kali had field day today. To sum it up in 3 words.

HOT

Dusty

Fun

 These pics are in the beginning, everyone was excited & happy to be outside.

 The big tug of war! Kali's class lost but put in a good effort & got a lot of rope blisters.

 Then it started to get pretty hot. There was a lot of water sprayed, ice & popsicles eaten & parents searching for shade. The new school only has one shade structure. ONE.

 Kali is more of a dance/indoor girl so she was not to into field day but had fun with her friends.

 The girls were SO hot at this point.

 This was their last event & they were all ready to go inside.

 The chicken toss was really funny.

Soccer & a party

We started our Saturday off with opening Easter baskets & then heading to Kai's soccer game

 Kora had her hair all done and yanked it out in the car....oh well, I tried :)

 It was a very good game & Kai played great. He had 4 shots on goal but did not get a goal in. We were really proud of him.

 

 These boys were hot/sweaty messes. It's definately warming up :(

 We came home and started getting ready for our Easter Egg party! Kali did a great job helping with the cookies.

 The yummy food! We had grilled chicken drumsticks, turkey hot dogs, chips/salsa, veggies/dip, cuties (Koko ate 5) lemon bars, cupcakes, sugar cookies, BBQ chips (Kali loves them) and my friend Misti brought a yummy spinach dip.

 After the kids played at our house we had the egg hunt at my parent's (next door)

 Fran hid almost 200 eggs so it was quite the search

 Then my Mom got the snowcone machine going since it was hot outside

 After we did the hunt & snowcones it was back to our house to eat and more playing for the kids.

It was such a fun time. We're lucky to have such great friends to celebrate with!
